The global population is growing, and so is the demand for food. With limited arable land and increasingly unpredictable weather patterns, traditional agriculture is facing significant challenges. As a result, governments around the world are turning to indoor growing as a way to ensure year-round food production and increase crop yields to shore up food security for thier communities. Urban farming can provide fresh produce which is especially important for those who live in food deserts or have limited access to healthy foods. Urban farming also provides opportunities for employment which improve quality of life.
