Read in 6 minutes

Life is full of it's highs and lows, but sometimes, even in the mist of the most heart wrenching moments there is a glimmer of the eternal. It is in this glimmer that we are given a glimpse at gods presence in the middle of it all. We are given a reassurance that our conscious awareness is real and our faith has meaning.

The Harps of God

Revelation 15:2

And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the Harps of God.

The History Behind the Harps of God

There are couple different inspirations for how the Harps of God came to be. There are two different pieces of art, and each has their own story with more or less depth to the manifestation of their design.

The First Card

The 1st one had an origin in some poetry that was written called “The Eternal Life.”

The Eternal Life

Bring back the vibe and keep it inside. Let the spirit of the Rave take you away. The light and the Music take you Right to it. The place you call Eternal Life.

Feeling all alone you can’t condone, all the people in your presence don’t forget it. We’re here together and it last forever.

No sea or sky just your mind in flight. On a ride through the universe despite. The fact you can’t see The Ultimate Reality.

Specifically the design was was conceptualized to emphasize the last paragraph. No sea or sky….

There were a couple other suggestions given by others that also assisted in the design. I’ll reserve the reason for the purpose of the conversation until the utility of The Harps of God are covered, but in a discussion with Angus Wynne the call was concluded with him asking me to put a proposal in black and white. Instead of writing the legal contracts, I went to the design landscape and designed the final card in black and white. The change ended up revealing a compelling design. The inverse of the previous color schematic was now visible. There is a psychology test called the Rorschach Inkblot Test, and with all the additional analogies associated with the design of this first card, may prove to be one of the most compelling psychological tools at the disposal of humanity. The 8th wonder of the world.

The Second Card

The second of the pair has an equally interesting story. First off, when Jason was attending Westwood College of Technology he had a couple classes with Zach Migura. It was at this time that Zach told Jason his ideas for Good Faith Paradigm, a reintegration camp for veterans with different drills and activities. Jason recognized those honorable ambitions, and a seed was planted that would one day grow into a complimentary idea. Since it is a non-profit, the original idea is still 100% on the table.

From around 2011, until the time the card was designed and the initial Good Faith Paradigm summary written, there was an abundant amount of research performed that kept compounding religious analogies associated with the images front and center of our fundrazr campaign.

In February of 2013, Jason went to California to see about a girl. Father’s day of that same year an unfortunate event, unfortunate because the day had been going really well, led to a brief foray into doing time that wasn’t warranted, but it was used wisely. It was during this time that he thought about what to call the idea that was marinating in his mind, and the name Good Faith Paradigm Zach had told him seven years prior described what he was envisioning.

The synergy of it all: the trip to California, the metaphoric similarities to a number of religious doctrines and the name explaining the overall vision fit perfectly. Plus, on a trip to Zach’s family’s ranch while they were in school, Zach asked Jason to design a card - so there was that additional encouragement speaking to his better judgement. It did cross Jason’s mind to just play off the name and go with Good Faith Church, Good Faith Order, Good Faith Fraternity or something along those lines, but it felt less genuine.

The Science Behind the Harps of God

It wasn’t until both of the cards were designed and in hand that further understanding was derived for use in delivery of their presentation. As alluded to earlier, there were certain elements of astrology, science or space that were the initial inspiration. Those initial elements were the aurora borealis and a general universal design with the first card.

Here is a list of all the space and science allegoric symbology associated with one or the combination of the Harps of God.

These assets are a part of the fulfillment of our mission statement, the bridging of science and religion. We can explain to the point of humanity’s understanding the early universe up to it’s modern incarnation. Many people are not clear about the difference between the Solar System, our Milky Way Galaxy, and the Universe, and Good Faith Paradigm expects to elevate understanding in this regard, which leads us into the next section of this post.

The Utility of the Harps of God

The most import utility of the Harps of God in Good Faith Paradigm’s opinion is a potential Post Traumatic Stress meditation technique. With a properly trained mind it could assist anyone struggling with troubling experiences. There are two parts to this: an educational framework and the meditation technique to help you process your feelings about your experience.

One of the creative uses Good Faith Paradigm has for the Harps of God is using them as a mnemonic piece to remember different celestial objects, this is in it’s essence the educational part. This component doesn’t have to be to address trauma or prepare to deal with trauma, it’s just quality knowledge to possess.

As a workplace ornament, it provides a quick and exotic escape from maintaining focus on the work at hand. It has a unique energy signature that provides an inspiring conscious unconscious stimulus that can help you get through work fatigue, writers block or even spark the creative juices.

The last utility is a funding mechanism. It was the OG use for it. The conversation that was had with Angus Wynne was to sell the art to raise money to put on an event. He said he liked the idea. The art card was to be the physical medium and a myspace page was designed in a way that it was the digital medium. This concept was an idea Jason had to innovate a new genre of art that blended the physical and the digital in an effort to host a music festival, another form of art and entertainment.

It’s definitely gotten better with time, it’s aged and matured into something much more impactful - yet equally inspiring, than it’s original use.

If you are interested in owning the digital NFT Harps of God, which we may or may not fractionalize at a later date, you can buy them at these links.

Here is an image of the original Harps of God and MySpace page design. This is one of several presentations through out the fundrazr campaign that the art can be held up to for a digital and physical pairing.
